TISA: Taylor Report will help to stimulate self-employed savings debate

July 11, 2017

TISA, through its Savings and Investments Policy project, is a long-standing advocate of a specific pension scheme that will meet the needs of the self-employed. It has become clear that in order to address the pension question a broader debate is needed on savings for the self-employed. TISA therefore welcomes the report from Matthew Taylor and will consider the findings as we develop our submission to the auto-enrolment review.

However, in the meantime, it is important that the self-employed do not put off saving. Adrian Boulding TISA’s Director of Retirement comments: “Every forward looking working age person should be saving something for their retirement years.”
