TISA Response to Autumn Budget

November 22, 2017

TISA, the investments and savings membership organisation, has responded to today’s Budget statement. Carol Knight, TISA’s Chief Operations Officer said:

We welcome the Government’s investment into maths education, however we would like to see this go further, by including financial education as part of it. Too many young people are growing up without access to financial education and reaching adulthood with little or no knowledge of how to manage their finances. By teaching children in primary school about money we hope to help prepare them for the future, which is exactly what we’re doing with our Kickstart Money initiative with MyBnk. We hope to see further support from the Government going forward.”
